Karolina's mother was one of those actresses, the gorgeous leggy blondes that could easily double as models. Karolina has inherited most of those looks. She's fairly tall, standing five foot nine or so, and has the body of a model. This, of course, is helped by regular exercise and her vegetarian diet. If there's anything inadequate about her, it would be her hips and breasts which are nice but Karolina isn't curvy. Some people would call her on the thin side, but she's hardly skinny and definitely takes care of herself.

She would be a very good poster girl for the American idol. Karolina has long straight blonde hair, that falls to the middle of her back and has blue eyes. Her face is more ovular than heart shaped, but everything about Karolina seems to lean more towards elegant and elongated than small and cute.

As for clothes, Karolina has some style. For a while she was mainly jeans, a variety of 'cute' t-shirts and the occasional sweater or arm warmers, however, recently she has leaned more towards the apparent black leather fetish of her people. No, really. The Majesdanians for some reason like to wear black leather halters and skirts, revealing pants and the like. It goes well with her glowy skin. Not glowing, but glowy. See, there's Karolina the person, who is fair skinned and blonde, and then there's her 'true form'. Her true form consists of glowy rainbows. No, I'm not shitting you.

personality:

Karolina is the person who said "my parents can't be evil, they don't even eat meat!" She was very close to her parents and found their being evil masterminds a bit ... hard. She also has a hard time meshing her alien heritage and her human past. Not to mention the coming out part. Karolina has some issues being confident about herself in those realms, but outside of them she is a very helpful person.

A good friend and companion, Karolina stands by her friends to the end. She dearly wishes to be accepted by people and finds rejection hard to take. If the choice comes up to go to a place which accepts her unconditionally, Karolina would find herself torn.

Karolina leans to the pacifistic side of things. She's a vegetarian and doesn't like her friends to fight. If anything she'll try and be the peace keeper. She also likes her secrets to be kept and would be horrified if people revealed them.

abilities/weaponry:

Karolina absorbs solar energy and can release it in blasts. She can hold up falling rocks with her power, blast open locks, heat things up and if vampires drink her blood, they explode. Her powers are fairly fluid, but they all relate back to solar energy. She can also fly when she's in alien form. Other than that she's a typical normal person. She wore a bracelet for a while to suppress her power, but has recently learned to change from human to alien form at will.

weaknesses:

Without the sun Karolina gets a bit under the weather, quite literally. She works more like a battery than she does an infinite supplier. She needs the sun to recover her powers and to be cheerful. She has no special regenerative or super strength. Her lack of self-confidence and hiding of her true self can be a little problematic as well. There is a kind of metal that can suppress her power. It is not specifically mentioned in the comic series, but it appears to be some kind of alloy. Perhaps something with tin foil in it (to be ironic, the aliens are in ur heads...>>)

history:

Karolina grew up in California, USA. She was a happy, healthy, rather oblivious Power kid. In fact, she thought her parents were saints. They were actually actors, but whatever. Karolina aspired to be like her mom. Every now and then her parents had a get together with some other adults, and the adults went off to do their thing and the kids hung around and pretended to occupy themselves. This was not a good thing.

On one such get together, Alex Wilder told the kids they should spy on their parents, and they all agreed. Sitting in a private tunnel they peeked in on their parents and saw their parents killing an innocent girl. Quite quickly they came to the conclusion that their parents were super villains and became runaways. Their parents weren't exactly happy about this, and pursued.

Over time it was discovered that one of the children in the runaways group was reporting back to the parents. Together the runaways faced corrupt cops, minor villains, vampires and finally their parents. It turned out that Alex had been the mole all along, from the very beginning when he revealed the secret passage to spy on the parents in the first place.

The runaways were able to defeat their parents and Alex, but upon their escape of the 'evil lair' found themselves confronted with a new set of problems. Some of the local law enforcement found the kids to be dangers to themselves and shipped them all off to 'helpful' programs. Karolina was sent to a foster home where her foster parents were addicted to pain killers, as well as see a therapist. Finding this life to even be suckier than the 'running from parents who are supervillains one' Karolina sent a message to her fellow ex-runaways and made a break for it.
